Additionally, if you are subscribed to Typst Pro, you will receive emails from our payment processor Paddle about your subscription.

You signed up for an account or changed your email

When you sign up for a Typst account or change your email address, we send a confirmation email to verify that you own the email address. This is a standard security measure to protect your account.

How to manage this: If you did not sign up for an account or change your email, please ignore the email. If you continually receive such emails, please contact us.

You are resetting your password

As a part of the password reset process, we send you an email with a confirmation link. Clicking that link allows us to check that it truly was you who requested the password reset.

How to manage this: If you did not request a password reset, please ignore the email. Your account remains secure. If you continually receive such emails, please contact us.

You received an invitation to a project or team

When someone invites you to collaborate on a Typst project or join a Typst team, we send you an email notification with the invitation details. We will send you this email even if you do not have a Typst account yet. We are taking measures to ensure that no one will receive an excessive amount of these emails.

How to manage this: If you do not wish to join the project or team, simply ignore the email. If you continually receive such emails, please contact us.

You reported a project

After you report a project, we will send you a confirmation of the report. Once our team has reviewed your report, we will also send you another email with the result of our review.

How to manage this: If you report a project using your account or when you share your email in the reporting form, for compliance reasons, we send you these updates. You can report shared projects anonymously by signing out and opening the project through the link shared with you.

You opted in to receiving our newsletter

If you have subscribed to our newsletter, for example during sign up or in the settings, we will send you periodic updates about Typst, including new features in the Typst web app and compiler, tips and tricks for using Typst, community news, and more.

How to manage this: You have multiple ways to manage your newsletter subscription.

Your account is affected by a sensitive issue that could compromise it

If we detect unusual activity that could impact your account’s security, we may send you an email to help you to keep your account secure. This can include notifications about new and unusual sign ins, unusual activity, and more. We will also notify you if we have to suspend your account under our Terms and Conditions or applicable law.

How to manage this: You cannot opt out of these emails. To stop receiving such emails, you must delete your Typst account. You can do so in your account settings.

Keep your account safe by following security best practices: You should set a strong and unique password, add a secondary email address, and confirm all email addresses in your account. This will keep the amount of security notifications you receive to a minimum.

To evolve Typst, we will sometimes share news about the service, including changes to our Terms and Conditions, privacy policy, and changes to our subscriptions. These emails will update you and allow you to make informed decisions on your usage of Typst.

How to manage this: For compliance reasons, we send these updates to all Typst accounts. To stop receiving such emails, you must delete your Typst account. You can do so in your account settings.
